Bath Village School – Trout in the Classroom

We were pleased to have them at the Club for the release of their trout.

The Bath Village School is involved in area forest and stream projects. The did their Trout release and water study at the club location on the Wild Ammonoosuc River this year. The group of about 20 students, along with the teachers and chaperones came to the club on Monday, April 4th, 2026. We had club members present to assist where needed. The group was very well organized and the students were fantastic to see their interactions and their detail analysis of what ‘lives’ in the river.

The Principle took many Pictures to add to their ‘Bath Town Forest‘ photos. If you click on the link you should be able to see all the photos from Monday April 4th as well as their previous adventure into the Forest.

They came prepared to do all their work outside. We opened up the club house and set up tables for their use.

We had members that took photos as well.

Here are photos taken by our members that were present. Thank you to Ed Fisher and Mark Lancaster for sharing their photos.

They collected samples and identified what they found in the river. They were all intent on finding as many of the possible ‘creatures’ as they could.

Marvelous project!!

Thank you to the School for involving our Club in this project.

Our attending members were all impressed with this group of kids, and their teacher and chaperones.

And we learned from this opportunity. We would be happy to have them back in the future to do this project here again to compare the findings.
